An insight into inhibitory performance of Commiphora Mukul on corrosion of aluminum alloy under tribological conditions

Abstract An eco-friendly green corrosion inhibitor Commiphora Mukul was tested for its efficacy to control material loss in 6061 aluminum alloy under collective influence of mechanical erosion and electrochemical a submerged jet impingement rig. Electrochemical techniques were utilized the current investigation which consisted potentiodynamic polarization impedance spectroscopy. The effect temperature flowrate artificial seawater slurry on inhibitory is investigated. Under experimental conditions 303 K 4 L min ?1 flowrate, showed an efficiency 54% as determined by studies. With increase slurry, protection decreased. Protection 35% observed. Possible reasons this phenomenon discussed. studies reported that process both charge transfer diffusion controlled. At 323 K, component prominent all studied flowrates , 8 12 . It seems moving medium makes it challenging molecules adsorb metal surface presence abrasive particles.
